Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 24, 2026. Short version: we do not collect your personal information. Everything you do here stays on your device.
1. Who we are
AI Career Shift (https://aicareershift.com) is an independent website that publishes career guides and free browser-based tools. It is operated by an individual publisher, not a company that buys or sells personal data. For any privacy question or request, contact us at zjp133@outlook.com.
2. Information we do not ask you to provide
AI Career Shift does not require registration, login, or any account. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, employer, resume, or financial details to use any tool or article. Everything you enter into our interactive tools (for example, when you run the risk self-assessment) is processed entirely inside your browser with JavaScript and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
3. What is stored on your device
Certain convenience features — your saved favorites list, your language preference, the answers you keep while using a tool, and your cookie-consent choice — are stored in your browser's LocalStorage on your own device. This is not a tracking cookie, it never leaves your computer, and we cannot read it. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser's site data; doing so resets your favorites and consent choice.
4. Cookies and third-party advertising
To keep this site free, we display advertising served by third parties, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet. This may include the DoubleClick cookie or similar technologies used for ad delivery, frequency capping, and measurement.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. For more information about how Google uses data from partner sites, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Your consent choices
Where required by law — including for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland — we ask for your consent before using cookies or similar technologies for personalized advertising, through a consent message that complies with the IAB Europe Transparency and Consent Framework. You can accept, reject, or customize your choices, and you can change or withdraw them at any time by clearing your site data or reopening the consent message. If you decline, you may still see non-personalized ads, which are selected without using your prior browsing history. Visitors elsewhere can use the opt-out links in section 4 at any time.
6. Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical information in server logs — such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time of the request — for security, fraud prevention, and reliable delivery of the site. We do not use these logs to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine them with any other information about you.
7. Third-party links
This site may link to external websites and tools that we do not control. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
8. Children's privacy
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Because we do not collect personal information, there is generally no personal data for you to request access to, correct, or delete. If you are located in the EU/EEA or the UK (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA), you have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. To exercise any right, email us and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.
10. Data retention
We do not maintain a database of visitor information. Data stored in your browser remains until you clear it. Any email you send us is kept only as long as needed to answer your question and handle any follow-up, unless a longer period is required by law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy as the site evolves (for example, when new advertising or consent features are added). We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be noted in a visible notice where appropriate.
12. Contact
