Which workplace scenario are you facing?

What the generator produces

Five scenarios are available: mandatory return-to-office, a workload surge after the team adopts AI, AI-based monitoring of work behavior, layoff rumors that are raising anxiety, and an offer of reskilling or internal transfer. Choose the closest match and the page assembles a numbered response strategy, a do-and-don't checklist, and a copy-ready script for a conversation with your manager or HR.

Using the plan and script

The script is a draft, not a transcript. Its strongest move is pairing a specific observation with a specific request, which is harder to dismiss than a general complaint. In a return-to-office conversation, documented performance and team dependencies carry more weight than arguing about policy. If reskilling is offered, ask for the scope in writing, including time, budget, and what happens if the role changes. For a workload surge, the guide on handling increased workload after AI adoption goes deeper on renegotiating priorities.

What it cannot know about your workplace

The generator has no access to your contract, local employment law, union agreement, or the history between you and your manager. A script that works in a large corporate setting may be wrong for a small firm or a public-sector employer. It is not legal advice, and it does not predict how management will respond. Keep a written record of conversations, and consult a qualified adviser before acting on anything with contractual consequences.
